1.3 How can I change my dial-in username?

1.4 Why does my connection takes a long time to validate password?
Your dial-up connection settings require the Logon To Network option to be set to FALSE in order to avoid any connection delay. For more information see our Support Page.

1.5 Why does my dial-up account login contain letters and numbers?
Many ISPs give your accounts (dial-up, web and email) the same meaningful login, for example youraccount and youraccount@isp_name.net. Our non specific login means that hackers will not easily guess your account login from your email address.

4. NewsGroup Questions

4.1 What is USENET?
USENET is similar to a large international bulletin board. It consists of tens of thousands of discussion groups, each on a particular topic. People then send messages to these NewsGroups, that any person with NewsGroup access can read or download.

4.2 What is the NewsGroup server called?
The NewsGroup server is called news.condoris.net

4.3 How do I ask for a new newsgroup to be added?
If you would like a NewsGroup added, contact newsmaster@condoris.net

4.4 How can I avoid getting SPAM or stop someone who is already sending SPAM to my address after using a NewsGroup?
Unfortunately, some individuals and organisations use the NewsGroups as a means to procure email addresses that they use for unsolicited email (junk mail and advertising). We recommend that you deal with software like Scan Mail, which allows you to download your email headers first, and delete any unwanted SPAM avoiding your email software having to download the entire message.

5. Miscellaneous Questions

5.1 Do you support De-queuing?
No. CondorIS.Net do not support any of the de-queuing protocols currently available within MS Exchange Server. CondorIS.Net recommend that you download the upgrade from Microsoft for Small Business Server Server 4.5 called Exchange Connector For POP3 Mailboxes. This is more secure than the de-queueing method of mail retrieval.

5.2 Do you support MS Exchange?
Exchange is only supported for POP3 mail retrieval when it has the service pack Exchange Connector For POP3 Mailboxes installed.

5.3 What modem standards do you support?
We support all the major standards including K56 and V90. We also support ISDN.
