E-Mail Explained
Why are my Dial-up and POP3 logins different from my account name?
Most ISPs currently set-up your login using the same name as the account, instantly giving away half of the information required by a hacker (someone attempting to gain access to your mail without permission) to get into your POP3 mail box. For example, if your account was called myaccount then a hacker would know your login name, and would only have to find your password. With CondorIS.Net, the same account would have a system generated login for example a123b456. This is completely unrelated to the account, and much harder for a hacker to find out. Your true email address would then be a123b456@condoris.net, but underlying this, our alias system would send and receive email in the alias of your choice. For example myalias@condoris.net.

How many POP3s can I have?
You can have unlimited POP3 accounts on all dial-up accounts.

How does the Alias system work?
You can set-up aliases to your POP3s account to make your address more readable. For example alias1@condoris.net, alias2@condoris.net etc. All these actually go to the same POP3 mailbox.

How many Aliases can I have?
Each POP3 can have an unlimited amount of Aliases.

What is my outgoing Email address?
Your outgoing address is changed before it leaves our system to myalias@condoris.net. No one receiving mail knows will see your true POP3 account name.

How do I add or change aliases?
Use the Maintenance Application to add, change or remove aliases.
