Configuring Internet Explorer (IE4 / IE5)
This page is intended to help you configure Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4 or 5). We also have a page that explains the configuration of Microsoft Outlook Express.

Within Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or 5, click on the Tools menu, and select Internet Options... The dialogue box below (fig 1) is displayed. The tabs along the top control the information displayed.

The Connections tab shows you the settings required to connect via a modem to CondorIS.Net (fig 2). If you select the CondorIS.Net dial-up (this maybe named differently depending on your installation).

Click on the settings button, and the Dial-up settings will be displayed (fig 3).

Your user name and password are entered here. If you leave the password blank, then you will have to supply it when IE dials your connection. The Properties button displays the dialogue box shown in fig 4.

The General Tab (fig 5) includes the phone number used for your connection, and the modem that should be used for the connection.

The Server Types tab displays the advanced options, and the protocols required for connection. The options shown above are exactly as required for the best performance from  your connection. The TCP/IP Settings button displays the dialogue box shown (fig 6). The settings are assigned by the server when you connect.

The Scripting tab (fig 7) displays the scripting options required.

The Multilink tab (fig 8) should be as shown.

The Advanced Dial-up settings (fig 9) control the number of attempts to connect, and the use of auto-disconnect.
